Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas!

I wanted to take some time to post about who we are and what we have been working on.

I have been making a living as a game developer for close to a decade. And I have been playing games for over two decades.

Qxr and I have known each other since college. We were both computer science students, and hardcore ARPG players. And recently, we decided to create a startup company to make games together. And so was Axeforge Games born.

As for what we are working on; Diablowing has actually started as a pet project of mine, back in 2006. I love ARPG’s, and I always thought that mixing the itemization and skill tree mechanics of an ARPG with a skill based genre could produce the perfect game. As I also love Shoot-em Up games, I decided to mix these two up, and so was Diablowing born. I worked on the game in my spare time, but I never planned to release it.

Last month, Qxr and I were brainstorming ideas for our first game together, and he convinced me that there are still many people out there that would love to play a good shoot-em up. So we dug up the old code and spent the last few weeks rebuilding the game in AS3 / Starling, a very robust and popular engine that will allow us to publish the game to Android & iOS as well as PC.

So this is our first game: Diablowing, a Shoot-em up / RPG hybrid.

We will use this devblog to give you updates on the game throughout its development, so make sure to check back for more periodically. :)
